Buenos Aires, March 5 (NA) – A man was found dead in the early hours of Thursday on the tracks of the Sarmiento railway line after being hit by a train in the Buenos Aires neighborhood of Caballito. Police sources informed the Argentine News Agency that the incident occurred at 5:15 a.m., when a person alerted authorities to the discovery of a corpse between Donato Álvarez and Yerbal, where officials spoke with the train driver. The motorman stated to authorities that he stopped the train upon observing the victim lying on the tracks. At the same time, personnel from the SAME emergency medical service arrived at the scene and confirmed the death. City firefighters were responsible for removing the body, and the case is being handled by the Argentine Federal Police (PFA). Meanwhile, delays in the train service were reported, although it was already operating normally.
